This photograph of about 2 May 1950 was taken right after the Change of Command ceremony in which LCDR L.C. McCarty relieved CDR L.S. Robinson as CO. Seventy of the crew are shown here (Captain McCarty is not present). This pose, which can also be seen in an earlier photo, is apparently typical for a fleet type boat, where the crew assembles on the bridge, gun deck and main deck forward. The muzzle of the 50mm gun can be seen upper center.
