Charleston overhaul, early 1949

The boat went into the Charleston NC yards for a routine overhaul, which lasted from 6 January to 14 April 1949. Note the scaffolding around the sail, suggesting the new sail installed a year before was in need of repair. There are several interesting small details. The person standing at ease is Harvey Westfall, Y1C.
