The USS Irex SS-482: New sail, Portsmouth 1947
A set of photos from the Howard Finch collection. As best I can make out, these show the final stages of the construction of a sail to accomodate the new snorke. If so, these photos would then have been taken in Portsmouth, NH, in about February 1947.
