The USS Irex at sea in about 1960

Dick Brazzale writes,

My name is Dick Brazzale and served on the Irex from 1959 to 1960 and went on the Halifax and Bermuda trip with her and along with the Philadelphia battery change. This was all before I went to Nuclear Power School. I thought you would like a Christmas card I have had for a number of years.

This looks like a shot taken off the Connecticut shore. Seen here is the new fiberglass sail. I find that this photo is from Christmas 1960 and a card sent out by Captain Apthorp.
