Harvey Westfall

Harvey Westfall Y1C reported aboard in 1947. This photo was taken of him on 3 September 1948. In the background is the NOB Bermuda dock, the famous “over-night repair stop” that was resorted to during the 30-day snorkel cruise that Jim Reynolds described.

Harvey kindly forwarded a photocopy of a document entitled “Ships Officers”, which dates from about March 1949. It provides a brief history of the boat up to that time.
